Numbers 21
God grants the people victories in battles but they can still find reasons to complain, usually about food and water. This time, God sends fiery serpents among the people and when they bite the people, they die. Moses intercedes for the people and God instructs Moses to make a bronze serpent set up on a standard and to instruct the people to look at the serpent whenever they are bitten and they would live. If they didn’t, they would die.
