The Way of Jesus
I’ve produced a pamphlet the presents a brief summary of a concept I’ve decided to call “The Way of Jesus” or “El Camino de Jesús”.1 I originally wrote an article about this idea in June 2015 (Article).
This isn’t meant to be a detailed outline of everything Jesus taught but instead a framework from which a person can orient their thinking and make decisions on how to live in the world. It might be simplistic in nature but, if taken to heart, can reap rewards that can’t be measured.
Sometimes we have to make difficult choices to follow the Way of Jesus but the long term, eternal benefits far outweigh the short term thrills of a life of sin. To paraphrase a line from the movie “What If” about the Christian life, “It’s simple, just hard.”
Attached below is the PDF file that can be printed out in Booklet format using the print settings shown below and using 8.5″ x 11″ Letter size paper. I’ve also attached an outline that can be printed out on a 3″ x 5″ index card.
1 — There is a popular movie entitled “The Way” which refers to a pilgrim’s trek that people can take from southern France across northern Spain called “El camino de Santiago“. I wanted to differentiate the teachings of Jesus from the ideas presented in the movie. Many of the ideas are similar and worth considering but without acknowledging God, as described in the Bible, as the one true God and Jesus, His only Son, as the Savior of the world, they merely present a man-made notion of religion but do not offer the eternal salvation which every person needs.
